In the United States and many other countries, currently the Gregorian Calendar is followed which was implemented by Pope Gregory hundreds of years ago. Prior to that, the Julian Calendar was followed. In both cases, the new year was adjusted and time "distorted" to accommodate for those adjustments. Doing research into the development of various worldly calendars and most can concede that at one point in time...people followed the true biblical calendar. For instance, if we were to take into consideration that September, October, November, and December literally mean the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th month respectively, then we can note that the adjustments made by the Pope enforced further "lies"...literally making people declare various months different numbers than what their respective names call them. Likewise, doing a little historical research we can find that the Julian calendar was adjusted to name the 5th and 6th month after Julius and Augustus Caesar...which is idolatry per the 10 commandments. August use to have a name that literally translated as the 6th month, and likewise with July having a name that literally meant the 5th month.
With this in mind we can note that the ides of March brought in the "New Year". This was changed with the Gregorian Calendar as well as in the Julian Calendar a few times making January, named after the Roman deity Janus (the 2 faced "god") the first month of the year. Going to the Holy Days, we find that Rosh Hashanah (aka the Feast of Trumpets) is the 1st day of the 7th month which occurs around September which literally means the 7th month. It's NOT the New Year as the Modern Jews with their fake Hebrew calendar would like you to believe.
With the true biblical calendar, few months have names and like YahShua's name has meaning, so do the names of the months that do have names such as the 1st month of the year which is named Abib (Aviv) which literally means "to come alive". Each biblical new month begins with the New Moon...and the New Year states when the barley is Aviv at the time of the New Moon. If the barley is not Aviv by the time of the New Moon, then the calendar endures what is called a leap month...instead of a leap day that occurs every 4 years, a leap month occurs every 2-3 years.
This section of the site is dedicated to validation the true year of the world; not as determined by "scientists" and other "biblical scholars", but with the Bible itself and course of events that are clearly evident for all to see. Knowing the true calendar will help with determining when to follow the Holy Days, the 7th year sabbath of the land, as well as the 50th year jubilee.
