Duke's Laws - THE FEES OF THE CLARKE OF ASSIZES
That all charges of Officers or Attendants upon Causes at the Assizes shall be double to
these of the Sessions and to be levied in the same manner.
If any thing shall be done by the Clark of the Assizes or the Clark of the writs of either
Court; more than is here expressed, the Justices are to Adjudge them a Farther fee,
either at the Sessions or Assizes According to his merritt for greater pains taken.
